The Via Garona, GR861, is a new hiking trail that connects the sites of Saint-Jacques de Compostelle between Toulouse (Basilique Saint-Sernin) and Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges (Cathedrale Sainte-Marie). It crosses 41 communes, all are located in Haute-Garonne.

Formerly, borrowed in the Middle Ages by the pilgrims who went to Compostela passing by the Piedmont Pyrenees.
