  • The Maison de la Haute-Garonne houses an exhibition hall of 200m² with fun and instructive exhibits about the Canal du Midi. This work of the 17th Century has been classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site since 1996. Open tours are free, guided tours paid for upon required reservation.

An homage to Pierre Paul Riquet who designed and built the Canal du Midi, this exhibition presents the origins and history of the construction of the canal which links Toulouse to Sète by using numerous instructive models and educational signs. A simple “dreamed little story” which is both entertaining and instructive. Open tour or a guided tour with a reservation. This is a tourist information office which is well documented and offers extensive information about Haute-Garonne and the Canal du Midi.
